Terms of Service
Summary: Prompt Secure is a tool that helps you manage AI prompts on your own device using your own API keys. We provide the software; you are responsible for how you use it and for the API costs you incur with third-party AI providers.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Prompt Secure (the "Application"), the Chrome Extension, or the website at promptsecure.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Nexum (Nexum Grzegorz Łopatka), a sole proprietorship registered in Poland (NIP: PL7262529449).
2. Description of the Service
Prompt Secure is an AI prompt management application operating on a local-first, Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) model. It allows you to store and manage prompts locally, connect your own AI API keys, send prompts directly to AI providers, and optionally sync via a cloud account.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. The Service is not intended for minors and we do not knowingly provide it to anyone under 18.
4. BYOK Model — Your Responsibility for API Usage
Important: You are solely responsible for all costs, usage, and compliance associated with your API keys and the AI providers you connect.
- You are responsible for obtaining valid API keys and complying with third-party providers' terms
- All API costs incurred are your sole responsibility
- We are not liable for any charges, overages, or account suspensions from your AI provider
- You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure
5. Local-First Architecture and Data Responsibility
- You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your locally stored data
- We are not liable for data loss resulting from device failure, uninstallation, or any other cause
- Cloud synchronization starts automatically when you sign in, including on Free accounts; it does not replace a separate backup of your important data
6. User Accounts
Account creation is optional. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of unauthorized use at hello@promptsecure.app.
7. Purchases and Payments
7.1 In-App Purchases
Premium features are available through Google Play. All purchases are subject to Google Play's terms and payment policies.
7.2 Subscriptions
Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically. To stop the next renewal, cancel through your Google Play account before the next billing date. You can keep using Premium until the end of the paid period. See Google Play's cancellation instructions.
7.3 Lifetime License
A Lifetime license is a one-time purchase with no renewal, granting perpetual access to the Premium features available at the time of purchase and to updates to those features released within Prompt Secure. Google Play delisting the app by itself does not invalidate this license: you can keep using an already-installed copy on a compatible device. Features that need an internet connection still require the relevant services to be available. Lifetime does not include API usage costs or separate future products.
7.4 Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Google Play. If a refund is issued, Premium access will be revoked accordingly.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to violate any laws, generate illegal or harmful content, infringe intellectual property rights, attempt unauthorized system access, reverse engineer the application, or circumvent license verification or payment systems.
8.1 Content You Share With Others
Team Vaults let you share prompts with people you invite. When you add a prompt to a shared library, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that its content does not breach the rules above. Other members of that team can read, copy and use it for as long as they remain members.
The team owner may remove any prompt from their shared library at any time, and may delete the team entirely, which removes the shared library for everyone in it. We may remove content that breaches these Terms or applicable law, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly do so. If you come across content in a shared library that you believe breaches these Terms, write to hello@promptsecure.app.
Sharing a prompt with a team does not transfer ownership of it — section 9 still applies.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service and its design are owned by Nexum. You retain full ownership of all prompts and content you create using the Service.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, accuracy of AI-generated content, or fitness for any particular purpose.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nexum shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including data loss, API costs, or loss of profits. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Polish law. EU consumers can find information about out-of-court consumer dispute resolution bodies in the European Commission's list of ADR bodies.
