Delete Your Account
The fastest way is inside the app. If you no longer have the app installed, use the email request at the bottom of this page.
Delete it yourself, in the app
- Open Prompt Secure on your Android device.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to the Account section at the bottom.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
What gets deleted
When your account deletion succeeds, we remove the following from our active database:
- Your account and email address
- All prompts synced to the cloud
- All knowledge base documents
- Teams you own, including their shared libraries, and your membership in other teams
- AI-response reports linked to your account
- Your subscription record
After that, the app clears prompts stored locally on the device you deleted from. If that step is interrupted, the app shows a screen so you can complete it. Copies on other devices where you are still signed in remain until you remove them there.
What is not deleted
- Copies on your other devices — if you are still signed in on another phone, the prompts stored there stay until you delete them on that device too.
- Your Google Play subscription — deleting the account does not cancel it. Cancel it in Google Play → Subscriptions, or you will keep being charged.
- Accounting documents — we use inFakt for accounting. Documents subject to legal retention duties may remain after account deletion for the period required by applicable law, depending on the type of document. They are separate from your subscription/entitlement record, which is removed as described above.
- Support emails — if you have written to us, see section 7 of the Privacy Policy.
Export your data first
If you want to keep a personal copy of your prompts, export them before you delete your account: Settings → Data management → Export to JSON.
No longer have the app?
Send an email to hello@promptsecure.app from the address you registered with, with the subject Account deletion request. We verify that the request comes from the account holder and complete the deletion within 30 days, usually much sooner. We will confirm by email once it is done.
